One person was hospitalized following a fire at a high-rise apartment in Chicago’s south suburbs, authorities said Monday evening.
At around 4:20 p.m., the Park Forest Fire Department responded to Juniper Tower, 350 Juniper St., for an apartment fire. The fire was contained to one apartment on the 10th floor, and extinguished by firefighters, village police said.
One person was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
Video captured by NBC Chicago’s Sky 5 helicopter showed a large response of emergency personnel, with multiple fire engines and ambulances on the scene.
