Many people have reached out to NBC 5 Responds to share their frustrations with grocery store digital coupons in the past six months, the majority complaining of struggles getting the coupons to apply to their purchases.
In the fall of 2025, more than 1,500 NBC Chicago viewers took our survey about digital couponing. Of the respondents, 92% said they’ve had trouble redeeming digital grocery coupons.
At that time, we told you about newly introduced legislation that would require Illinois grocery stores to provide a paper coupon equivalent for any coupon offered. It was introduced by State Rep. Janet Yang Rohr (D).
Now, the bill has moved out of committee and is headed to the house floor for a vote. NBC 5 Responds will continue to monitor the progress and what it could mean for shoppers.
Now, we want your feedback on booking doctor appointments.
Let’s talk about how easy — or difficult it is — to book an appointment with your doctor.
You can click here to take our Doctor Appointment Survey. It takes 5 minutes or less, and you can remain anonymous.
Overall survey results will appear in future NBC Chicago reporting about the state of the medical field in Chicagoland.
