Popular West Coast-based java chain Dutch Bros Coffee has plans brewing to open one of their drive-thrus in yet another Chicago suburb, adding to the growing list of locations slated to open by the end of the year.
Elk Grove Village Mayor Craig Johnson announced the plan to open a Dutch Bros Coffee alongside a Culver’s at the corner of Meacham and Biesterfield roads during his state of the village address on Thursday.
The plan is part of a new ice arena project coming to the area. Both restaurants are expected to open in the fall, Johnson said.
A spokesperson for Dutch Bros said they are still “in the very early stages” for the Elk Grove Village location so they “don’t have anything to share at this time.”
The Elk Grove Village Dutch Bros location is the third slated to open this year in the Chicago suburbs.
A location in Melrose Park is expected to open sometime between now and the end of June, according to a spokesperson for the coffee chain, and an Oak Park location is expected to open in the fall.
