Two teenage boys were shot in broad daylight on Saturday afternoon in Chicago, police said.
Around 5:50 p.m., a 14-year-old and 15-year-old were outside on the 3800 block of South Artesian Avenue in Chicago’s Brighton Park neighborhood when they were struck by gunfire, police said.
The 14-year-old was shot int he stomach and leg and the 15-year-old in the arm. Both were transported to local hospitals. The 14-year-old was initially listed in serious condition and the 15-year-old in good condition, authorities said.
Authorities are continuing to investigate.
No additional information was immediately available.
