Deputies investigating possible homicide in Fallbrook

A homicide investigation is underway in Fallbrook on Monday night, officials said.

Deputies responded to a call involving an assault with a deadly weapon in the 3800 block of East Mission Road around 8 p.m., according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials say there is one victim. One person was detained, but not arrested, SDSO said.

The investigation is ongoing.
