Krewella and MARINA were announced as the headlining acts for the 2026 San Diego Pride Festival, considered one of the largest Pride celebrations in the country.
“We’re thrilled to announce that electronic powerhouse duo… and global pop sensation Saturday night will belong to Krewella, the boundless electronic duo comprised of sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf,” San Diego pride organizers stated in a press release.
“Closing out the festival on Sunday is MARINA, the platinum-selling pop visionary returning with her newest era, PRINCESS OF POWER,” added the announcement.
This year’s announcement follows last year’s criticism with then festival headliner Kehlani, who has been a vocal supporter of Palestine and critic of Israel’s treatment of Arabs in Gaza, causing local Jewish organizations to drop out of the event.
“At San Diego Pride… our programming reflects a deep commitment to celebrating established artists while also nurturing emerging voices and uplifting the extraordinary talent within our own community,” began the press release.
Under their Pride Festival section on its website, a statement reads, “San Diego Pride does not endorse or adopt the political positions of any individual performer.”
San Diego Pride will take place July 15 through July 19, kicking off with the Spirit of Stonewall Rally on Friday. It will be followed by the parade on Saturday, and the festival will take place both on Saturday and Sunday.
Proceeds from ticket and beverage sales, including sponsorships and exhibitor fees, will go towards San Diego Pride’s community philanthropy, according to organizers. They have distributed more than $2.5 million to support LGBTQ+ communities around the globe.
Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online.
