Person stabbed in the head in Downtown San Diego

A person was transported to the hospital after being stabbed in the head on the 1200 block of K Street in Downtown San Diego, police told NBC 7.

The San Diego Police Department responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon just before 3:45 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

The extent of the victim’s injuries was not immediately known.

A suspect was taken into custody, and police said the suspected weapon has been recovered.

No other injuries were reported.
