How are you holding up? We’re sure that digging out this concrete ice-snow has kept you busy, but we hope you’ve had time to frolic in the snow like the National Zoo’s baby cheetahs or build a 10-foot snowman like this Kensington resident.
But if you’re more of an indoor cat (good idea, in this weather!), how about giggling at the Snow Stick Challenge entries?
It’s slow-going, but we’re seeing museums, shops and more reopening across the D.C. area. More than 200 restaurants are even extending D.C. Restaurant Week until Sunday!
There are plenty of ways to beat cabin fever. If you go out, take it slow and be safe! Please, check with the organizers of any event in case of cancellations.

Showtime! Theater you won’t want to miss
So many shows, so little time! And two of these productions are in town this weekend only.
The Tony Award-winning musical “Kinky Boots” is at Capital One Hall in Tysons on Saturday and Sunday.
Was it with the candlestick – or the wrench in the theater? “Clue” is at the National Theatre through Sunday. Or, find horror-style thrills with “Paranormal Activity” from Shakespeare Theater Company.
“Chez Joey” kicks off this weekend at Arena Stage, transporting you to 1940s Chicago for jazz and “the game of romance and ambition.”
Become immersed in a show so different you might think you’re at a rock concert. “Shrewd Awakening” at Barrel House Cafe and Bar near Logan Circle will have you on your feet for an immersive concert-theater experience inspired by a Shakespeare classic.
The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater has more than a week of performances starting Friday, including the new production “Embrace,” which features music from Stevie Wonder, Ed Sheeran and others. They are at a new venue this time, the Warner Theatre.
😆 Need a laugh? For comedy, check out Ramy Youssef at Lincoln Theatre (Sat.); packed weekends at The Comedy Loft and DC Improv; free late-night showcases at Hotbed (Weds. to Sun.) and BYOB shows at Room 808 (Weds. to Sat.).
