4 things to know about the weather:
- Fog Saturday morning
- Some rain Saturday night; storm possible
- Warmest weekend so far this year
- Record warmth Tuesday and Wednesday
Your weekend in the D.C. area is shaping up to be the warmest of the year so far.
For Saturday morning, thick fog in spots will persist until about 10 or 11 a.m. After that, the fog will start to dissipate, and we’ll have some afternoon sunshine and highs in the low 60s.
But it’s a tricky temperature forecast, like it’s been all week. If we get an earlier wind shift and more sunshine, we could see our temperatures Saturday warm to near 70°. Regardless, it’s looking like a really nice day.
By Saturday night, especially during the overnight hours, we’ll have rain, maybe even some heavy rain, and some thunderstorms moving through the area.
For Sunday, while there could be an isolated shower, most of the day will be dry with warmer temperatures. Highs will reach near 70°.
On Monday, the region will continue to warm up, with highs in the mid 70s, and by Tuesday and Wednesday, we’ll be tracking record warmth with highs near and around 80°.
