Virginia State Police have issued an alert in the disappearance of a 16-year-old boy from Arlington County who hasn’t been seen since he left Washington-Liberty High School Thursday afternoon.
The family is sending out an urgent plea as missing person posters canvas Ballston, searching for 16-year-old Tobi Obikoya.
Inumindun Obikoya, his aunt, says they haven’t seen or heard from him since Thursday, which is very unusual.
“A bit shaken because it’s so uncharacteristic,” she said. “He’s never run away, never done anything like this. It was a complete surprise to everybody.”
The family says the teen normally gets picked up in front of Washington-Liberty High School. They believe that Thursday, he left the back of the building and headed east
His father is worried sick about son and had this to say to his boy:
“We don’t want anything to happen to you. Please come back home. Your brothers are waiting for you to come back home. Please come back home. We love you.”
Arlington County police issued a missing person alert Friday night and on Saturday, Virginia State Police did the same.
And out on the streets, his family are asking everyone to keep an eye open and help bring their loved one home.
