Man shot, killed inside Southwest Philly home on Friday

A man has died after he was shot inside a home on Friday afternoon, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

The shooting happened just before 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 on the 2600 block of Muhfeld Street in Southwest Philadelphia, police said.

When officers go to the house, they found a man in his mid-thirties suffering from a gunshot wound to his stomach and took him to a nearby hospital, police explained.

The man died from his injuries and was pronounced at the hospital just after 5 p.m., officials said.

An investigation into this shooting is underway.
