71-year-old woman critically hurt after getting hit by car in Philly, police say

A 71-year-old woman is in critical condition after getting hit by a car as she walked around the Bustleton neighborhood of Philadelphia on Tuesday night, police said.

The crash happened at around 6:31 p.m. at the 1100 block of Bingham Street, police said, when a 2016 Ford transit van struck the woman as it tried to make a left turn onto Gregg Street.

The driver of the van stayed at the scene, police said.

The unidentified woman remains in critical condition on Tuesday night, and the Philadelphia Police Department is investigating the incident.
