Man knocked unconscious during violent assault in Philadelphia; suspects sought

Philadelphia police are on the hunt for two men accused of a violent New Year’s Day assault.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, around 2 a.m. on January 1, 2026, a 37-year-old man was walking along the 1600 block of Chestnut Street when two unknown men assaulted him, knocking him unconscious.

Police report that the victim was repeatedly kicked and punched as he laid on the ground.

Investigators believe the suspects, pictured below, are both men likely in their thirties.
