Two neighbors were hurt after one of them jumped from a burning house in Northeast Philadelphia on Monday afternoon, according to the fire department.
The Philadelphia Fire Department was called to the 15000 block of Wayside Road around 3:45 p.m. on Jan. 26 where they found a house engulfed in flames, officials said.
Due to the intensity of the fire, it was upgraded to an all-hands status with 75 firefighters responding, according to fire department officials.
Crews were able to get the fire placed under control just before 4:30 p.m., officials reported.
A neighbor was trying to save someone inside the burning home, but the person reportedly jumped to escape, officials said. Both people were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for injuries.
One person remains unaccounted for after the fire, officials said.
SkyForce10 was over the scene around 4 p.m. on Monday as the fire appeared to be nearly out and it looked as though the roof had collapsed.
