Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is expected to joins state officials on Sunday to discuss the state’s preparation efforts ahead of a major winter storm that is set to hit the region on Sunday afternoon.
In a statement, Shapiro’s office said that officials intend to provide an update on preparations across the state as a “significant” winter storm is expected to move across the region from Sunday afternoon through Monday.

According to the governor’s office, Shapiro — and others — will “outline the state’s ongoing preparedness efforts, including coordination between the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania National Guard, and county emergency management teams to ensure resources are in place and ready to respond.”
