A teen girl was killed in a car crash in South Jersey on Sunday night, according to the Clayton Police Department.
Two cars were involved in the crash just before 10 p.m. on March 1, officials said.
One vehicle was going northbound on Fries Mill Road when it tried to make a left-hand turn and went into the path of a second car that was traveling southbound, police said.
Officers were called to the intersection where East Academy Street meets Fries Mill Road in Gloucester County, police explained.
When they got there, they reported finding three people trapped inside an overturned car so first responders worked to free them.
A 19-year-old girl was taken to a nearby hospital where she died from her injuries, officials said.
The investigation into this crash is being run by Sgt. James Mayo and Ptlm. Robert Crawford.
