Philadelphia police are looking for a 23-year-old man who they say is wanted in connection with a deadly shooting.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at around 7:09 p.m., officers were called to the 1200 block of Magee Avenue after receiving reports of a person with a gun.
When officers arrived at the scene, police said they found a man, Vaswani Brown, 35, suffering from a single gunshot wound to the torso.
Police said officers transported Brown to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators recovered a handgun with an extended magazine at the scene that was registered to Brown, police said.
Following an investigation, police revealed that they are searching for Michael White, 23, of Philadelphia, who is wanted in connection with the murder of Brown.
Police describe White as a man, approximately 5’11” and 250 pounds, and considered “armed and dangerous.”

Anyone with information regarding White’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334, call 911, or submit an anonymous tip by calling 215-686-TIPS.
Police said a $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
