A dip dilemma hit a popular food kiosk in Center City Philadelphia this week.
The Mac Mart Mini Kiosk at 18th and Arch streets near the Four Seasons Hotel has been working to solve a mystery involving French onion dip that’s gone viral on social media.
The owner of Mac Mart, Marti Lieberman, told NBC10 that she was contacted by a third party about doing a promotion with a food company called Heluva Good a few weeks ago.
Lieberman said that she was suspicious and never pursued the offer.
Then, on Thursday, March 5, 50 cases of Heluva Good’s French Onion Dip showed up outside of the Mac Mart Mini Kiosk.
At first, Lieberman planned to offer free dip to her customers but then Heluva Good contacted her and urged her to discard the mystery dip.
The company told her that they were unaware of the delivery.
Lieberman said this makes for a “Heluva Good” story but is still trying to figure out the origin of the delivery.
NBC10 has reached out to Heluva Good for company and is waiting to hear back.
