Lighting issue on runway causes ground delay for arrivals at PHL

A massive delay is impacting travelers trying to fly into Philly on Friday afternoon, according to a spokesperson at Philadelphia International Airport.

Officials issued a ground stop for arriving flights at PHL just before 4 p.m. because of an issue with lighting on one of the runways.

The ground stop has since been upgraded to a ground delay with flights being delayed by over 100 minutes as crews work to fix the issue.

This is not impacting departing flights.
