A woman and a one-month-old infant were hurt, officials said, in a crash involving an ambulance that happened in Philly’s Frankford section on Sunday morning.
According to officials, the incident happened at about 5:20 a.m., after an ambulance and another vehicle crashed at the intersection of Frankford and Harbison avenues.
First responders to the scene found a woman and a one-month-old infant unresponsive at the scene, officials said.
Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital but, officials did not immediately provide further information on their injuries.
Officials also did not immediately say what led to the crash, but they have said it was not a hit-and-run.
At the scene, NBC10’s cameras captured images of an ambulance resting on it’s side as a result of the crash as crews continued to work at the scene while the roadway was closed to traffic on Sunday morning.
An investigation into this incident is ongoing, officials said.
