An investigation has begun, police said, after a 15-year-old boy was pronounced after being found unresponsive in his bedroom in Philly’s West Oak Lane community early Monday.
According to police, an investigation on the boy’s death is underway after officers were called to a report of an unconscious person at a home along the 6400 block of North 16th Street at about 2:43 a.m. on Monday.
Here, officials said, first responders found a 15-year-old boy unresponsive in his bedroom.
The boy was pronounced at the scene at about 2:55 a.m., police said.
Investigators found no signs of blunt trauma or struggle at the scene, officials said.
An investigation in the incident is underway and, officials said, they were still working to determine the boy’s cause of death.
