The first full weekend of spring will end with some thunderstorms on Sunday evening in the Philadelphia region.
Sunday will start of mostly sunny and very warm. Highs in the lower 70’s.
However, that warmth, coupled with a cold front coming through in the evening, will set off some stronger thunderstorms. A few of these may be severe.
Timing for the severe storms is between 7 and 11 p.m. Our main concerns are wind damage, with a very low risk of a tornado in areas west of the Delaware River.

Rain will continue overnight into Monday morning. The rain will then depart around the morning commute Monday. The sun will come out, but winds will increase to around 30 mph. Temperatures drop from the middle 50’s, back into the 40’s throughout the afternoon.
