Parts of Olden Avenue through Ewing Township, New Jersey, were closed to traffic for about four hours overnight after, officials said, a crash investigation was underway.
On social media, police in Ewing Township posted an alert noting that Olden Avenue between Prospect and Fifth streets was reopening at 2:23 a.m. after being closed to traffic since 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.
According to police, the roadway was shuttered due to a crash that happened at the intersection of North Olden Avenue and 6th Street at about 10 p.m. on Sunday.
However, contacted Monday, officials would only confirm an investigation was underway and did not provide specifics on this incident — including what led to the crash, how many people were involved or if anyone was injured.
At the scene, NBC10’s cameras captured footage of crime scene investigators collecting evidence, a damaged pick-up truck being towed and fire crews working at the scene.
Police said an investigation is ongoing.
