Organizers with ACCT Philly said they discovered a wealth of exotic animals in an abandoned home in North Philadelphia on Monday.
Officials with the animal care and control service said that the discovery was made on Monday afternoon after ACCT Philly received a call about dogs barking at an abandoned home along the 3200 block of North 13th Street.

Inside the home, officials with ACCT Philly said, rescuers found six dogs along with a wealth of exotic animals including an iguana, a lizard, a frog, a parakeet, two tarantulas and another 10 “unidentified crickets.”

All of the animals, ACCT Philly said in a statement, were found in poor condition and they will be transferred to ACCT Philly’s rescue partners in order to receive necessary care.
