A New Jersey man was sentenced to seven years behind bars after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting an underaged girl, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.
Jake Toczylowski, 25, began messaging an underage girl in the summer of 2025 and ultimately arranged to meet her in person.
Investigators said that the sexual assault occurred in a parked vehicle in a street in Mount Laurel Township.
The investigation began in early August after a family member of the girl reported it to Mount Laurel Township Police Department, officials said.
Toczylowski was then taken into custody on Monday, Aug. 11, 2025, and then pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault in October of 2025.
He was sentenced to seven years in state prison.
Toczylowski was an employee of the Mount Laurel Township Municipal Utilities Authority when he was arrested and is barred from ever holding public employment as part of his plea agreement.
He must also register as a sex offender in New Jersey for the rest of his life.
Resources for victims of sexual assault are available through the National Sexual Violence Resources Center and the National Sexual Assault Telephone Hotline at 800-656-4673.
