Heavy police presence outside Gloucester County home as investigation unfolds

An active investigation is drawing a heavy police presence outside a home in Gloucester County, New Jersey, on Saturday morning.

Woolwich Township Police Department, along with the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, shared in a statement that they are currently conducting an investigation on the 300 block of Broad Street in Swedesboro.

Police said there is no active or ongoing threat to the public.

NBC10 was on scene as police concentrated their efforts on a single home. A coroner could also be seen as the police investigate.

Parts of Broad Street are temporarily closed while the investigation continues, according to police. Officers will remain on the scene to ensure residents can safely enter and exit their homes as needed.

“Moving forward, the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office will handle any and all public comment regarding this investigation,” police wrote.
