Some residents in South Jersey received an Emergency Alert on their phones that announced a dispersal order for Bridgeport Speedway in Logan Township on Sunday evening.
According to multiple social media posts put out by local police departments, the alert was sent in order to disperse a crowd at am “Import Expo” Car and Music Fest at the South Jersey venue.
However, what exactly happened has not been announced and remains unclear.
NBC10 has reached out to police, the organization behind the event and Bridgeport Speedway and are waiting to hear back.
NBC10 went to the scene at around 7 p.m. to find that there was no longer a crowd present.
The dispersal order has since been lifted.
