Emergency crews were working to put out a wildfire in the area of Route 195 in Jackson Township in Ocean County on Monday afternoon, New Jersey’s Forest Fire Service said in a social media post.
The fire was reported around Marker 25 on the westbound side of Route 195, and the westbound lanes of the roadway are closed between Marker 20 and 25 as crews work to extinguish the flames.
People are being told to avoid the area at this time.
