At least 10 clergy members were arrested during a protest against Immigration, Customs and Enforcement (ICE) in Philadelphia on Monday.
The group – which consisted of members of No ICE Philly, clergy and religious leaders — gathered outside the city’s ICE Field Office along the 100 block of North 8th Street around 8 a.m. The protesters attempted to block ICE vehicles from leaving the area.
Department of Homeland Security officials warned the protesters to leave as the demonstrators sat on the sidewalk. Around 10 of the protesters were later arrested. Officials have not yet revealed the charges they face.
The protest was part of a week of demonstrations from No ICE Philly, Families for Ceasefire Juntos, Asian Americans United, the New Sanctuary Movement and CAIR Philadelphia against ICE and its actions nationwide.
A demonstration took place on March 29 outside the Target in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, to protest the store management’s alleged “failure to protect workers and customers from ICE violence.”
More anti-ICE protests are planned for various locations in the Philadelphia region through Saturday, April 4, 2026.
