Parkside Borough Council President Dominic Capobianco has been criminally charged with misappropriating public funds, the municipality announced on Monday.
According to court documents, Capobianco is facing three charges for offenses dated April 6, 2024: Theft By Unlaw Taking-Movable Prop, Receiving Stolen Property and Theft By Deception-Fail To Correct.
The charges were filed on Monday, March 30, 2026, according to the court records.
“The Borough of Parkside takes these allegations very seriously. The conduct described in the criminal complaint is deeply concerning, as it involves the alleged misuse of taxpayer funds and is inconsistent with the standards of integrity and public trust expected of those who serve our community,” the borough said in a statement.
“The Borough is cooperating fully with the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office and all appropriate law enforcement authorities. In addition, the Borough has been reviewing and strengthening its internal financial controls and recordkeeping practices to help ensure that similar conduct does not occur in the future. As this remains an active criminal proceeding, the Borough will reserve further comment at this time.”
Capobianco is awaiting a preliminary arraignment, according to the court records.
No lawyer was listed in court records for him as of Monday afternoon.
