A woman was killed and a man has been hospitalized, police said, after they were both struck by a vehicle along Broad Street in North Philly early Wednesday.
According to police, the incident happened at about 6:25 a.m., when a man and woman were struck by a vehicle at the intersection of North Broad and West Clearfield streets in North Philadelphia.
Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital where, police said, the woman was pronounced at about 7:01 a.m. and the man was listed in stable condition.
Following the crash, police said, the driver of the striking vehicle stayed at the scene.
Police did not immediately provide further details about the crash and have not said if the driver could face charges in this incident.
But, officials said, an investigation into this crash remains ongoing.
