• There will be an increased chance of showers and thunderstorms as a cold front arrives in the afternoon and evening, with the potential for severe storms, prompting a FIRST ALERT for damaging winds, hail and localized flooding.
• The FIRST ALERT will be in place from 4 p.m. until midnight.
• Showers are expected to taper off overnight with a cloudy and much cooler Thursday ahead.
