New miniature soccer-inspired pitch to feature activities, tables at Dilworth Park

A new miniature soccer-inspired pitch will soon be open to the public at Dilworth Park in Center City.

On Friday, April 3, 2026, at 11 a.m., NRG will join Center City District officials to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the pitch ahead of this summer’s festivities, including America’s 250th celebration.

According to a release, the 7,000-square foot “Vivint + NRG Pitch at the Albert M. Greenfield Lawn” will feature activities, tables, umbrellas and plants, making it a pleasant space to gather at Dilworth Park, located along the western side of City Hall.

From April to October, NRG said it will host community partners and giveaways at the pitch along with sales activations and information on how to switch electricity or natural gas supplier. 

The pitch will remain open through early October 2026.
