Philadelphia’s Archbishop Nelson Perez is recovering after he fainted two times during a Catholic service on Thursday.
In a social post, Archbishop Perez explained that he had been feeling lightheaded during the Chrism Mass at Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul on April 2 and had to leave the altar.
In video obtained by NBC10, Perez can be seen falling once and was helped back up onto his feet before he fell a second time about a minute and a half later.
Perez was checked out by doctors at the cathedral and his vital signs are reportedly normal.
