An investigation is underway and at least two people have been arrested, officials said, after officers responding to a break-in at a home in North Philly, early Monday, found the property filled with young people.
According to police, the situation unfolded after officers responded to a property along the 1300 block of North 18th Street at about 5:09 a.m. on Monday following the report of a break-in.
Upon arriving at the scene, officials said, police observed a juvenile enter the backyard of a property through an opened rear door.
The officers detained this boy, officials said, and then proceeded to enter the property, where they discovered “an additional 12 individuals in the residence — ranging in ages from 14 – 20.”
A firearm was also discovered at that location, police said.
At least two people were arrested at the scene but, officials said, more arrests may follow.
An investigation into this incident is ongoing.
