A man was taken to a hospital in critical condition Monday night following a crash in North Philadelphia, according to police.
Around 10:18 p.m. on April 6, 2026, a 2018 Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound on the 300 block of W. Lehigh Avenue, when the pedestrian walked into the road and was hit by the SUV.
First responders arrived at the crash scene and transported the man, who’s believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, to Temple University Hospital.
According to police, the man suffered severe head trauma and internal bleeding. As of Tuesday morning, he remained in critical condition.
Police said the driver remained at the scene.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is still ongoing.
