A man was hospitalized in critical condition early Sunday, officials said, after being the victim of a stabbing attack in North Philadelphia.
According to police, officers responded to a report of an attack along the 3700 block of North 6th Street at about 2:52 a.m. on Sunday.
However, officers soon realized the victim had already been taken to a nearby hospital following the attack, police said.
The victim, who police did not immediately provide further identifying information on, was listed in critical condition after being taken to the hospital by a private vehicle, officials said.
Police are still working to learn more and, officials said, as of about noon on Sunday, investigators had not determined a motive in this attack nor have any arrests yet been made.
An investigation, officials said, was ongoing.
