TikTok users in several major U.S. cities reported what appeared to be an outage starting Tuesday afternoon.
According to DownDetector, reports of outages started climbing just before 1 p.m. The number of outages reported plateaued around there until about 3:30 p.m., when outages spiked once again.
There were nearly 1,000 reports of an outage just before 5 p.m.
New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles were among the areas where an outage had been reported, along with cities like San Diego, Phoenix, Washington and Minneapolis, DownDetector showed.
There was no immediate word on what may have caused the possible outage, or when it would be restored.
