ANTIOCH – A 43-year-old man was injured in a shooting Monday afternoon in Antioch, police said.
Officers were called to the 2100 block of Lemontree Way around 3:30 p.m. for multiple reports of gunfire, according to Antioch police Lt. Gary Lowther. No victims were found at the scene.
A short time later, police received word a man with multiple gunshot wounds had arrived at an area hospital, Lowther said. Officers determined he was involved in the shooting.
The man was transferred to an area trauma center, where he was listed in critical condition, Lowther said.
Police did not announce any arrests or release any other details about the shooting.
