Few details were available from police after a 16-year-old boy was shot early Monday on the South Side.
The shooting happened around 3:50 a.m. as the teen was walking in the 7900 block of South Ashland Avenue, Chicago police said.
Circumstances of where the gunfire came from were not given by police.
He went to St. Bernard Hospital with a gunshot wound to his left hand and was in good condition, police said.
Area 2 detectives are investigating and no arrests have been made.
