Delta is adding winter service between Boston and Rome in 2027

There’s good news for Bostonians looking to explore Italy’s capital next winter.

Delta is bringing back direct flights between Boston and Hawaii

Delta Air Lines, a leading carrier at Logan International Airport, is adding winter service between Boston and Rome in early 2027. The airline currently flies daily to Rome between March and the winter holiday season, ending just after the new year.

“The schedule gives Boston customers continued access to Europe during the winter months when destinations are less crowded and easier to explore,” a Delta spokesperson wrote via email.

Beginning in January 2027, the airline will fly four times a week between Boston and Rome before resuming daily service in March.

The best time to visit Rome is from October to April, according to U.S. News & World Report, when the crowds and room rates are lower (though travelers will need a coat).

Fares go on sale April 4 for the early 2027 flights.
