Thursday featured a mixed bag of weather conditions as a burst of downpours and thunderstorms were seen across parts of South Florida during the midday time frame.
It did amount quickly in some spots, with more than an inch reported across parts of Hollywood.
We finally have received some much-needed rainfall in recently. A widespread 1-3 inches of rainfall has been measured across South Florida within the last 7 days.

This rainfall has led to a minor improvement to the drought situation, with the moderate drought now eliminated along the immediate coastline.

On Good Friday, we’re looking at nice and quiet conditions with a mix of sun and clouds. Rain chances will be low, temperatures will be warm in the low to mid 80s and the breeze will remain strong.

That wind will start to come down a bit as the weekend rolls on, but as that happens, rain chances will start to rise.
The weekend will feature lots of dry time overall but times of passing showers will be possible both days. Otherwise, we’re looking at patchy clouds and a continuation of the warm and humid conditions.

That means for Easter egg hunts planned for Sunday, some showers will pass through some locations in South Florida at times so your egg hunt may need to be delayed.

By the middle of next week, rain chances rise another notch as a front moves in on Tuesday. This will lead to scattered to numerous thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours.

Then a strong, onshore wind develops behind the front, leading to potentially wet and windy conditions for Wednesday and Thursdays.
