Hollywood’s biggest night is here.
The 2026 Academy Awards, honoring the best of the best of films released between January 1 and December 31 2025, are tonight, March 15.
This year, Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” made Oscar history as the most-nominated film of all time with 16 nods. The previous record, held jointly by “All About Eve,” “Titanic” and “La La Land,” was 14. Additionally, the southern gothic vampire flick is also broke the record for most Black individuals nominated for a single film at 10.
Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” received 13 nominations, while “Frankenstein,” “Marty Supreme,” and “Sentimental Value” are tied for third-most nominations with nine.
The 98th Academy Awards will also introduce a brand new category; Best Casting will honor the casting directors who assemble film ensembles.

As is tradition, all four of last year’s acting award winners — Adrien Brody, Mikey Madison, Kieran Culkin and Zoe Saldaña — will be back to award this year’s winners.
In addition to them, presenters include Will Arnett, Javier Bardem, Rose Byrne, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Anne Hathaway, Chase Infiniti, Nicole Kidman, Jimmy Kimmel, Delroy Lindo, Ewan McGregor, Paul Mescal, Demi Moore, Wagner Moura, Kumail Nanjiani, Gwyneth Paltrow, Pedro Pascal, Bill and Lewis Pullman, Maya Rudolph, Channing Tatum and Sigourney Weaver.
“What We Do in the Shadows” actor Matt Berry will serve as the evening’s announcer.
The Los Angeles Master Chorale and Josh Groban will be on hand as performers, though their performances have not yet been revealed. Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami a.k.a HUNTR/X will perform Best Original Song nominee “Golden” from “K-Pop Demon Hunters.”
“Sinners” star Miles Caton will also lead a performance of Best Original Song nominee “I Lied to You.” He will be joined on stage by co-stars Li Jun Li, Buddy Guy and Jayme Lawson, in addition to ballet star Misty Copeland, blues guitarist Eric Gales, Alabama Shakes frontwoman Brittany Howard, blues guitarist (from the town where “Sinners” is set) Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, musician Bobby Rush, “I Lied to You” co-writer Raphael Saadiq, country singer Shaboozey and R&B singer Alice Smith.
