Luka Doncic is celebrating right now in Orlando, Florida, as the Los Angeles Lakers pulled off a magic trick at the end of the game against the Magic to extend their winning streak to nine straight games.
With their backs against the wall and Doncic not shooting his best down the stretch, the Lakers still found a way to win, with Luke Kennard being the hero with a three-point shot with time expiring.
While Doncic, LeBron James, Austin Reaves, and the rest of the Lakers are celebrating, they might have a difficult time getting their win streak to 10 on Monday against the Detroit Pistons, even without Cade Cunningham.
Why?
Because Doncic, the hottest player in the league, is set to be suspended for their next contest.

Doncic had 15 technical fouls this season, and one more is a mandatory one-game suspension. In the third quarter of the game, Doncic began trash-talking Magic player Goga Bitadze, which led to a technical foul from the referees.
Although the Lakers can protest the technical and see if it is overturned after the fact, the organization might want to bite the bullet and lose Doncic in a game against an Eastern Conference team rather than possibly losing him in one of their final games against the West.
If Doncic does sit, it will be a blow to his momentum, which has been unstoppable over the past two weeks.
After scoring 40 and 60 points in his last two contests, he still put up 33 in a game where his shot wasn’t falling in the second half.
If he does miss the next game against the Pistons, his return would be against the Indianapolis Pacers on Wednesday, who are currently the worst team in the league with an overall record of 15-55. With their win on Saturday, the Lakers continue to lock up third place in the West with a 46-25 record.
