Law enforcement on scene of ‘active investigation’ at Midway Drive motel

Law enforcement is on the scene of a situation that is currently unfolding in a motel on Midway Drive.

Details remain sketchy at the moment, but according to the San Diego Police Department, there is a suspect who is possibly armed barricaded in a room at the motel.

Eyewitnesses say that around 30 to 40 members of law enforcement are present at the motel.

Please avoid Midway Drive between East Drive and Wing Street due to an active investigation. Midway Drive is closed in both directions.
