Man, 67, gunned down near United Center on Near West Side

Two gunmen walked up to a 67-year-old man and fatally shot him Tuesday afternoon near United Center.

The 67-year-old was outside in the 2100 block of West Madison Street when two armed assailants on foot pulled guns and opened fire, police said.

The 67-year-old was hit in the head and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Area 3 detectives are investigating.
