WORCESTER, MASS. (WHDH) – A man was arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Worcester Thursday, according to police.
Worcester police said they responded to a call of an assault involving a knife at a rooming house on Catharine Street at approximately 4:11 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police said they found a second man at the scene and he was taken into custody in connection with the attack.
Investigators said evidence points to the stabbing being an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the public.
The Worcester Police Department’s Detective Bureau is investigating.
