SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) – The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported deputy-involved shooting in Southwest Miami-Dade.
According to MDSO, the shooting occurred near a home along Southwest 112th Avenue and Southwest 221st Street on Thursday afternoon.
7Skyforce hovered over the scene, where authorities cordoned off the area around a home.
The street remains closed to traffic while the investigation is conducted.
The circumstances leading up to the deputy discharging their weapon remains unclear. There’s also no word of any injuries.
As is the case with all deputy-involved shootings, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement will also be involved in the investigation.
