Minnesota United head coach Eric Ramsay linked to French job

Ramsay has been mentioned for the opening at Strasbourg, a club in the France’s Ligue 1, a domino further down the line after English Premier League club, Chelsea, parted ways with Enzo Maresca on Thursday. Strasbourg coach Liam Rosenoir is mentioned as an option to take over for Maresca in London.

Reporter Jacob Steinberg said: “A move for Rosenior will also depend on the quality of replacement Strasbourg can find for the 41-year-old. Eric Ramsay, the manager of Minnesota United, is under consideration.”

With Minnesota, Ramsay took the Loons to two straight Wester Conference semifinals in 2024 and ’25. He also led United to the U.S. Open Cup semifinal in 2025.

Ramsay has been mentioned for a few other previous jobs, including Southampton last winter, but he returned to Minnesota.
