The North County Transit District announced Thursday they will offer up to 52 additional COASTER service trips to and from Petco Park for the upcoming San Diego Padres season.
Padres fans can avoid parking hassles, skip traffic, enjoy a stress-free ride with coastal views and easily plan their game day travel, according to transit officials.
“For NCTD, the game day experience begins the moment you step onto one of our COASTER platforms,” NCTD Board Chair Priya Bhat-Patel said in a statement.
“The COASTER is the best way to get to Padres games, and with extra service, we’re making it as easy as possible for the Friar Faithful to get to Petco Park and back home.”
Throughout the Padres season, NCTD’s COASTER 699 train will depart from Santa Fe Depot one hour after the game to allow enough time to enjoy firework shows and special events.
Fans can transfer for free to the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System Trolley with the purchase of a COASTER Regional Pass. Parking is free at most COASTER stations.
Officials reminded potential passengers that alcohol consumption is not allowed on COASTER trains.
